Attorneys can also send us an email with their firm’s name and address to info@thebullyperiscope.com and our staff will contact band booster clubs, church youth groups, scouts and other groups in your community whose members are targeted by bullies and let them know that your firm will be a Safe School Partner for any bullied student in your service area.
Parents/guardians are first instructed to go to www.thebullyperiscope.com and have their student follow the instructions on the top left of the HOME page under Instructions for Bullied Students.
Step 1
The attorney allows time for the bullied student to follow these instructions and then they go to The Bully Periscope’s database and (a) obtain original, unredacted copies of all of the bully reports on file against this bully and (b) this also registers the attorney’s email address to automatically receive any new bully reports that come in on this bully moving forward. This only takes seconds to complete.
Step 2
The attorney’s clerk then sends the principal legal notification that the student is reported to be bullying others and attaches a copy of the bully reports to this notification as evidence. At this point the clerk makes no attempt to verify any of the information in the reports, they just attach them. This letter also advises that if this bullying is allowed to continue with the school’s knowledge, legal actions may be initiated against the bully’s parents and the school.
In almost every case the bullying is stopped as soon as the school administration receives this notification and shares it with the bully and their parents. For detailed information on how this system immediately locks down a bully/bullies please go to the Q&A Section.
Once the clerk sends out this notification letter to the principal, all obligations for being a Safe School Partner are met by the attorney. If further bullying is reported it will be totally at the discretion of the attorney whether litigation is initiated or not.
Most attorneys who are “SAFE SCHOOL PARTNERS” are offering to obtain the bully reports (Step 1) and send the notification letter (Step 2) for a fee of app. $125 – $175 so every parent can afford to address this abuse of their child. Attorneys see this as much more of a prime marketing opportunity than a paid service for the following reasons:
- When an attorney stops the abuse of a child the child’s entire extended family and their friends become likely clients when they need representation for an auto wreck, workplace accident, etc. No hero is bigger than the hero that stops the bully.
- A small fee like the one above more than covers the attorney’s costs for these 2 steps and lays the foundation for a pro bono lawsuit if the bullying is not stopped.
- Eliminating bullying in the schools and returning real instruction to the classrooms benefits everyone in the community, directly or indirectly.
- Helping any child in need is great marketing for any business.
No sign up or registration is necessary. Just choose a username and password and use the system. In order for attorneys to access the bully reports that are on file for a bully, they must:
