The Role of Band Booster Clubs

Band booster organizations are uniquely positioned to step up and lead in eradicating both in-school bullying and cyberbullying from their communities and their children’s lives.

Band communities are strong, connected, and collaborative; they have the unique ability to assemble band students and parents in large numbers behind any good cause.

This ability combined with the fact that band students are targeted by bullies at a very high rate make band booster clubs the obvious choice to lead in this very important, and in many cases, life or death effort.

Band booster clubs can lead this effort by:  

● Informing band students and families about this highly effective bully eradication program and the importance to their community of using this system to stop bullying.

 ● Organizing band students and their parents to commit to using this system and being a major part of eliminating the horrible epidemics of in-school bullying and cyberbullying in their schools and community.

● Strongly encouraging students to use this system to report every in-school bullying incident and to reply to every cyberbullying incident by posting the Cirus meme, and if the cyberbully is a student, to also report them through The Bully Periscope Bully Reporting System.

●Reaching out to other band booster clubs and inform their parents about this system.

●Reaching out to all middle schools in the area and inform their parents about this system.

This initiative is about giving students a clear and practical way to eradicate both in-school bullying and cyberbullying while supporting one another. We invite you to be part of this effort and help guide students not only in their in-school activities, but also in how they interact in the digital spaces that are part of their everyday lives.
